Jack

Hiya! I’m Jack, and this will be the first summer I’ve spent at camp, so I can’t wait to share this adventure with you all.

Who am I?

  • I am 21, and I will be 22 by the time camp starts.
  • I studied environmental sciences at the University of Leeds, and I graduated in 2023. I am really excited about nature and doing what we can to protect our planet, and I am excited to share this enthusiasm with you all.
  • I love music, and I have played guitar since I was 9. If there’s ever an opportunity, you’ll find me with a guitar in my hands. I’ve performed at open mic nights and charity events with the bands I’ve been in.
  • I love hiking and exploring the outdoors. I’ve been hiking across the UK with my friends and family and have also explored landscapes across Europe in Portugal and Iceland.

  • Even though I’m no good at playing, I love to watch football, and will go to support my local team, Derby County, whenever I can.
  • I have a dog called Betty, who I love taking on long walks. Here she is photobombing a picture of my family at the beach in Liverpool (this is my favourite picture of all time!).
  • In 2019, I volunteered at a primary school in Uganda, where I worked with the students to build a passionfruit farm. I loved the two weeks I spent here and I’m really excited to have another exciting summer at Camp Augusta!
