Hello!
I am Erica, and I grew up in Brier, WA (12 miles north of Seattle). I am currently living in Helena, MT while attending Carroll College. The fall of 2016 I will be a junior in school but a sophomore in the nursing program.
I love living in Montana! I am able to do numerous outdoor activities minutes from my home. (Like
hiking, camping, biking, going to the lake, or adventuring into the wilderness to admire the natural beauty.) When I am not studying, in class, or enjoying the outdoors, I love being in different activities on
campus! Some different activities I am involved in are: Carroll Student Activities, Carroll College Student Nurses Association, helping with New Student Orientation, and intramural sports.
I went to Varanasi, India this winter break for three weeks with a group from my school, and when I left Varanasi, it stole a piece of my heart. I am eternally grateful that I had this wonderful opportunity to widen my world view. India helped me discover my love for pediatrics and rural medicine.
Fun Facts about ME!
1. My sister and I attended the same grade school that our dad and his siblings attended.
2. I went to an all-girls high school.
3. I coached at Holy Names Academy’s Volleyball Camps during my high school summers.
4. All through high school I was a teacher’s aide.
5. Last year I discovered the exciting world of face paint in my stage makeup class!
6. Next summer I am going to be in Tanzania, Africa for a month for a nursing internship.
7. I have never attended Camp Augusta as a camper or a counselor.
When I am not helping out on campus or exploring the world, I am a food connoisseur, an animal lover (especially sloths!), and an arts n’ crafts doer, and I LOVE hearing a good joke!! I love being able to embrace my quirkiness and awkwardness, it makes life a lot more interesting and never boring!
I have always wanted to work as a summer camp counselor (not just a spots camp counselor), and I am super excited to be at Camp Augusta this summer! I love learning new things and activities, and I thrilled to have the opportunity to share them with you! I cannot wait for this summer and I am looking forward to meeting all of your wonderful faces!!
