Bryce Taylor

Hellllllo from the wonderful woods of Camp Augusta! My name is Bryce, and this will be my third magical year here in the high pines. Lake Vera is shimmering with the warm sun, and the wood chips are being spread elegantly across the main camp! So, who am I? For the past two years, I’ve spent my time in the lovely village of Pine working almost entirely with Pine One! Things I enjoy at camp are connecting with the everyone, going on hikes to Gypsy Falls, going on CRAZY adventures with my campers, mountain biking, zip lining, leatherworking, and doing skits!

Right before the summer, I finished my Associates of Science in Reno, Nevada, and when the summer is over I’ll be continuing on to obtain a BA in Environmental Science where I wish to work for a non-profit in the preservation field! Before I started school, I’ve had many jobs and adventures. I’ve worked on an endangered duck farm near Portland, Oregon, lived and busked in San Francisco, took my Volkswagen Vanagon across the country on a musical tour, only to have it break down in Alabama. I then backpacked the rest of the way to the Atlantic Ocean, and took a five day train ride back to Nevada!

I currently have 6 Junior Ranger National Park badges, and I hope to one day Catch em’ all!

I’ve worked at a plethora of summer camps, from mental and physical disability camps, to dysfunctional camps, to science camps, I also once found a jet in the desert.

I can’t wait to for the summer to begin, and to spend a magical week (or two) in the woods with not only my cabin, but the entire camp!!

See ya!
