My name is Dat Le Viet, and I am from Vietnam. In the last 10 years, I have been working in creative education and social innovation, including co-founding the first social innovation incubator in Vietnam (HATCH! Ventures) and franchising a creative education program (Arkki) from Finland to Vietnam, Thailand, and other ASEAN countries. In between, I also work at different governmental and non-governmental agencies promoting social innovation and eco-holistic solutions for different marginalized communities in Asia and Africa. I also worked in different summer camps in the U.S. or in Asia.
I came to Augusta this year for the first time during a journey of unlearning and relearning about myself, creative education, and social innovation around the world. I love Augusta’s intentionality and philosophies, and how it can manifest through a beautifully designed system and community into wish, wonder, surprise, and magic for children – which, to me, is at the core of our shared human experience, and thus at the heart of education.
