Alyce

Outside of horsing around, you’ll find me at the gym, stretching at yoga or sweating it out at a pilates session, fishing, snorkeling, or exploring the coastal rivers and estuaries on my stand-up paddleboard.

While I have no horses of my own at the moment, I spend a lot of time riding friends’ horses, helping out at my local racetrack or giving lessons. I also have my fur baby Moose who keeps me busy and entertained!

Kia Ora from New Zealand, campers!

My name is Alyce. I’m 25 years old and am from Whangarei. I will be joining you for the 2026 season as an equine director!

This is my first season of camp so I will be right alongside many of you learning a bunch and figuring out the ins and outs of Camp Augusta! I have been riding horses since I was 15 and teaching since 18. I love to create a fun and inclusive learning space where the connection between human and horse can be nurtured.

I’m excited to try a bunch of new things, gain new experiences and life long memories and find new limits to push through mentally and physically.

I am looking forward to being a part of the Camp Augusta staff team this summer and am super excited to meet all of you! Feel free to ask me how to say hello and goodbye in Maori!
