Hey there! My name is Boateng Simon, but just call me Simon. Names carry stories, but experiences shape who we truly are.
A Scientist at Heart, A Camp-power in Spirit
I’m originally from Ghana, currently diving deep into chemical engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Science is more than just numbers and reactions—it’s about curiosity, problem-solving, and discovering new possibilities, much like life itself!

Why Camp? Because Magic Happens Here
Last summer, I had the incredible experience of working at Camp Loyaltown in New York. Being around campers, sharing stories, and helping create a safe, fun, and unforgettable environment was beyond rewarding. Whether it was playing games, listening to campers’ stories, or simply being there when they needed support, I knew I had found something special. I’ve always had a connection with kid s-teaching after high school, caring for my younger sister, and volunteering with Open Mind Africa to support education. Children remind us of life’s purest joys-laughter, wonder, and the excitement of learning something new.
Hobbies & Weekend Life: A Recipe for Connection
When I’m not studying or at camp, you’ll find me experimenting in the kitchen (I’m currently mastering different continental dishes!). I also spend weekends reading, watching scientific movies, and enjoying Sunday gatherings with friends—cooking, eating, and just appreciating life’s simple joys.

What I Hope to Bring to Camp
Every child deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and valued.
At camp, I want to bring…
Energy & Laughter – Because joy is contagious!
Curiosity & Encouragement – To help campers explore their strengths.
A Listening Ear – Because sometimes, just being there makes all the difference.
Camp is a place where kids find their confidence, make lifelong friends, and realize they’re capable of so much more than they ever imagined. I can’t wait to be part of that magic again!
A Challenge for You! Can You Solve My Riddle?
The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?
Think about it, and when we meet at camp, let’s see if you got it right!
See You Soon at Camp!
