Plant & Animal Farm

Many campers choose to spend time in Camp Augusta’s organic garden, which provides some food for camp meals. Educating our youth about healthful, locally grown fruit and vegetables is more critical than ever at a time when obesity and diabetes have become a national concern. Campers till the soil of the 3200-square-foot plot, as well as help plant, harvest, and cook the vegetables, berries and herbs.

While the animals we have at camp tend to vary from year to year, we’ve had chickens, goats, ducks, bunnies, and a tortoise join us for our plant and animal farm clinic in the past.
