I was born in Poland, in the communist era,
At the age of 1, traveled to another area.
That area was Greece, Athens to be specific,
Broke my legs in two, in an elevator incident.
Then we moved again, after a couple of years,
We were headed to the states, just to be clear.
So we’re in Chicago now, starting anew,
In a couple of years, we’d be moving from there too
In the burbs of Des Plains, Illinois I was raised,
Grade school through high school, I’d spent my days.
Origami club founder at the age of 8,
Art class came easy, nobody could hate.
Started playing the piano at the age of 10,
Still playing those white keys ever since then.
From a very young age, I said, “a doctor I will be.”
Always longing for music and creativity.
High school activities included some sports,
There was Soccer, Swimming, and V-ball on the courts.
I switched up gears, for the next two years,
Stepping up to focus on my mind and ears.
Cello in the orchestra, characters in plays,
Singing in the musicals, choreography other days.
Between these times, I’d be flying to Europe,
Visiting grandmas and uncles, new countries sure enough.
It was after high school, I made the decision,
Pursue those child dreams, the likes of cell division.
A year in UIC, to get me going,
Then off again, to my country of origin.
Based solely in medicine, in a 6 year course,
The life of a med student, studied like a work horse.
In 2012, graduated from PUMS
The Poznan University of Medicine young ones.
Then off to Ireland, for a one year internship,
In Cork I landed, ready to heal the sick.
That year alone, made me want to come home,
Try my luck in the states, more studying to go.
Burnt out from the game, constant books on the brain,
A new focus on myself, a new perspective to gain.
So in 2016, the transformation begins,
New me, new dreams, only one way to win
To go out in life, make it feel like my last,
New me, new dreams, and relinquish my past.

In 2011, I climbed Mount Roraima,
A cool little mountain found in South America.
I like aviation, I build model planes,
R/C for now, fly my own one day.
I’ve been to places, like Germany and Spain,
Morocco, England, most of Europe by train.
I would love to visit, Japan eventually,
Australia too, and surf there potentially.
A Rubik’s Cube, I could definitely solve,
The dreams I’ve dreamt, I’d wake up a draw.
I like adventures, and love new friends
