What’s better than a custom card to explain who I am?
An entire deck 😉
In Magic: The Gathering (the best game ever created), there is a format called Commander where you choose one creature as the leader of your deck and select exactly 99 other unique cards to go into your deck.
For my staff bio 2025, I chose the Commander Jodah Jude, The Unifier, a Legendary creature that does three things:
- It finds other Legendary Creatures, just like I do in Hiring, finding all of you wonderful Legends!
- It supports other Legendary Creatures making them all perform better the more of them there are. This is a lot like Camp – we all support one another and are strengthened by being a community.
- It gives me access to all 5 colours in Magic. My previous cards stayed in a particular strategy but this year I can use any card in Magic for my deck!

Even this won’t explain all of the card choices…
Some of them will be obvious but some may be tricker to understand (even if you know me really well). Some have meaning in title and some require looking at the art instead. I’d love it if you sent me an email (jude@campaugusta.org) with a card that interests you or confuses you and I can explain why it made it into the deck!
