We are more defined by the experiences we choose than the ones we fall into. By the things we chase than the ones that chase us. Such are the ideas I live my life by, and I hope you are able to as well! I grew up in a tiny town that wasn’t built to foster individual thinking or expression, which made it so much more important to find it within myself. After years of ruminating on this lack of adversity and experience in my life, the time came to change; to become what I dreamed of becoming, despite the fear holding me back. Since then my creative pursuits have been allowed to guide me more than anything else, and by them, I have found the opportunity to find myself at last.

Over the last 6 months I’ve cooked, played music, and written in the spirit of the West Coast: playing music with the tumultuous raging ocean, writing to the flow of the luscious green pastures, and cooking to the feel of the blossoming temperate rain forests of Washington with ingredients found within them. I can’t wait to discover all that Camp Augusta has to offer, and what I will be able to offer in it’s presence. See you soon 🙂
