Ieuan

My name is Ieuan, and I am returning to camp for my 4th year this summer!

If you are struggling to pronounce my name, do not worry, it sounds like ‘Lion’ if you replace the ‘L’ with a ‘Y’. Simple!

I am excited to return to camp and continue the connections I have already made as well as make as many more as possible!

Pine Village has been my home for three years and will continue to hold a special place in my heart. This Summer however, I am carrying on my Augustan adventure in CEDAR! A place I have a lot of love for and am hugely excited to make my home for this coming summer.

A little bit about me: I am from a small town in the South West of England called Bradford-on-Avon, just outside of Bath. I have spent most of my life there and have been lucky enough to travel to different parts of the world with my family and friends to experience different cultures and create memories.

My favourite cities include:

  • Florence
  • Berlin
  • Denver
  • New York
  • Paris

My favourite natural sites:

  • Daintree rainforest
  • Snowdon
  • Yellowstone Waterfalls
  • Gorges du Verdon
  • Rhossili Beach

In 2019 I was fortunate enough to be invited on to a week long Wilderness Backpacking trip in the Sierra Buttes.

There was snow, lakes, incredible views, and the greatest sunset I have ever seen.

It was truly a magical experience and I am super ecstatic to put on a backpack and get out into the mountains again.

I am mega stoked to take part in as many EPs as possible this summer, much like I have done for the past three. My most favourite and recent character I got to be was a bigfoot in the game Conspiracy where I got to take a nap next to the Boogeyman.

So, what have I been up to in the past year…

I am currently in my second year of university, studying Modern History and International Relations at Swansea University. What I am truly enjoying at the moment is the interesting modules I have chosen, the friends I have made here, and the exciting opportunities to get back into hobbies I had previously lost interest in.

I am now a part of the Swansea Uni Surf Club and the Uni Skate Society.

The frequent meet ups to go and get outside and explore are amazing and I feel very appreciative of the support I have found in these groups as well as the beautiful coast surrounding Swansea.

Back in December I went on a trip to the Canary Island, Fuerteventura, with the Surf Club and experienced some of the cleanest and most beautiful waves I have ever surfed. The fact that it was hot as well was also a bonus.

I cannot wait to be back in the wood chips again this summer…

See you soon!
