Programming update 5/9/2020
After careful consideration with national and local health officials, it is with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to cancel Mini Camp (June 4th – 6th), Session 1 (June 7th – 13th), and Session 2 (June 14th – 20th) for the 2020 season.
Our full Board of Directors will be meeting in the coming weeks to make a final decision for the remainder of Camp Augusta’s 2020 summer season. At this time, we are still planning on opening for Session 3 (June 21st – July 4th) onwards.
There really are no words to describe the sense of sadness and overwhelm we all feel at the idea of not running part of our summer. Though this was an extremely arduous choice for the camp Augusta team and our board of directors, we ultimately felt this was the best choice for camp and the best choice for our campers. There are, of course, many implications to our choice to cancel. Not only will we mourn the loss of welcoming a new generation of campers to Augusta, as a non-profit organization, we are absolutely feeling the massive financial impact of COVID-19.

Programming update 5/2/2020
After careful consideration, it saddens us to announce that our Memorial Day Family Camp (May 22-25) and June Family Camp (May 29-31) have been canceled for the 2020 season.
As further recommendations have developed, our administrative team and our full Board of Directors will now be meeting in mid-May to, hopefully, make the final decision for Camp Augusta’s 2020 Summer Season. By that time, we will have the most up-to-date mandates and advice on health and safety from the county, state, CDC and American Camping Association as to how – or if – Summer Camps can open safely this year.
As the situation is changing rapidly, we will be following local and international developments closely and will post any updates to our programming on our website here. We will also remain in email contact with all parents of our registered 2020 campers and families.
